As an Advanced Process Engineer specializing in paint, seal, and plating technologies, your responsibilities will include designing, testing, and implementing state-of-the-art solutions to enhance aircraft performance, safety, and reliability, ensuring we consistently provide outstanding aviation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee team responses concerning critical flight and product safety components and processes.
  • Act as a liaison with manufacturing sites regarding component repairs, inspections, and compliance.
  • Promote best practices and business enhancement opportunities through a network of aerospace professionals.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary OEM technical reviews and manage corrective action requests.
  • Support repair development projects and process engineering initiatives, including compliance audits.
  • Engage in process control and improvement by analyzing, developing, and recommending methods to meet production goals, enhance quality, and reduce turnaround times.
  • Investigate and initiate corrective actions for equipment and process deficiencies to minimize variation and boost reliability.
  • Coordinate with external resources, including contractors and equipment vendors, for process support and improvements.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and processes, ensuring adherence to safety standards and promptly reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.

Educational Qualifications:

A university degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required. A degree in Materials Engineering is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to formulate business case proposals for new productivity-enhancing technologies in collaboration with operations and contractors.
  • Experience in preparing technical specifications and cost-benefit analyses for capital equipment procurement.
  • Familiarity with the procurement process and ability to define plans for local engineering approvals.
  • Leadership experience in developing repairs with aerospace OEMs.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in planning, team building, analytical evaluations, and decision-making.

Essential Skills:

In-depth knowledge of 14 CFR regulations and industry standards related to chemical processes, including stripping, cleaning, plating, painting, and sealants. Proficiency in the current company operating system environment is required.

Demonstrated planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills are essential. Strong project management capabilities and comprehensive knowledge of company processes and aerospace materials are necessary.
