We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Shapes Group Ltd. Co. as a Technical Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of sheet metal operators and ensuring the efficient production of high-quality metal products.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Assign daily work assignments to operators, train and document their use of inspection equipment, and validate their accuracy.
- Quality Control: Review and approve work instructions, ensure compliance with quality policies and specifications, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Technical Expertise: Develop and create work instructions, operate machinery, and perform tasks in a safe and reasonable manner.
- Communication: Partner with the engineering team to develop and create work instructions, and communicate effectively with operators and other stakeholders.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Skills and Qualifications: Ability to read and follow company processes, policies, and procedures, ability to stay focused and adapt to change, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, move, transport, and load items up to 50 pounds, and ability to work in a factory environment with high noise levels and physical hazards.
- Factory Environment: Work in a factory environment with high noise levels, physical hazards, and exposure to chemicals and dust.
- Occasional Work Outside Normal Business Hours: May be required to work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.
