**Job Description:** We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Activities Assistant to join our Activities Department within our Assisted Living program, Ruth's House. The ideal candidate will work with the Activities Director to develop and implement a successful activities program that meets the physical, social, cultural, spiritual, emotional, and recreational needs and interests of our residents.

**Key Responsibilities:*

  • Develop and coordinate activities programs in accordance with resident assessments and care plans.
  • Assess resident interests/needs and provide an activity program that meets their requirements.
  • Plan and monitor leisure activities for recreation and therapeutic purposes.

**Requirements:** A high school diploma is required. Therapeutic Recreation Certification is preferred. Minimum one year experience in long-term care or assisted living is necessary. Must possess excellent communication skills, be able to relate professionally and positively to residents, family members, volunteers, and facility staff, and function independently with flexibility and personal integrity.

**Estimated Salary:** $40,000 - $50,000 per year.
