Full Time, Days

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Conduct daily dust mopping or vacuuming of hallways.
  • Perform damp mopping or vacuuming of corridors on a daily basis.
  • Engage in spray buffing of specified hard surface areas each day.
  • Shampoo or extract designated carpeted areas regularly.
  • Ensure corridors remain free from dirt accumulation, including baseboards and corners.
  • Promptly address any spills in corridors following facility protocols.
  • Provide assistance to Housekeeping Assistants as required.
  • Support room cleaning for new residents or during room transfers.
  • Execute stripping, waxing, and sealing of floors according to the established schedule.
  • Perform deep cleaning of resident room floors as per schedule.
  • Assist in the setup and cleanup of meeting rooms as needed.
  • Manage the removal of soiled linens and return clean carts to designated areas as necessary.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment, including buffers and mop caddies, at the end of each shift. Dispose of soiled mops and pads appropriately for laundering.
  • Assist the director with assigned tasks as needed.
  • Review all areas and conduct cleaning as required before concluding the shift.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Participation in mandatory in-service training for all staff is essential.
  • Ability to read and write clearly to follow instructions is necessary.
  • Adherence to cleaning, mopping, and buffing schedules is expected.
  • Kindness and respect towards residents are paramount.
  • Exhibit a neat appearance and maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to personnel, departmental, and facility policies is required.
  • Wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of how to reset the fire alarm panel and pull stations is essential.
  • Understanding of the facility's fire and disaster plan and compliance with procedures is necessary.
