Job Title: Night Floor Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Night Floor Technician to join our team at Campus Services Group. As a Night Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, including offices, lobbies, classrooms, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpeted areas, including dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting.
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and perform cleaning activities within established guidelines and assigned areas.
  • Ensure quality standards, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met.
  • Report equipment and cleaning product needs or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Collect trash and recycling for proper disposal.
  • Perform tasks that involve pulling and pushing, carrying weight up to 50 pounds, twisting, bending, and reaching from floor to waist height and from waist to above head.
  • Apply stripper to floors to remove old wax and refinish floors with new wax product.
  • Represent HCSG in a positive manner and embody the characteristics necessary to drive the Company's Purpose, Vision, Values, and DNA.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous school custodial/janitorial experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 1/2 years' experience in floor care preferred, but on-site training is provided.
  • Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance upon completion of initial training period.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to cooperate with co-workers and staff.
  • Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.
  • Ability to be at work as scheduled on time.
  • Ability to be on your feet, mostly walking, 6-8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Ability to fully understand and complete all in-services.
  • Ability to live in the service area.
