Job Title: Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Duty Truck Fleet Technician

Ryder is seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to join our team as a Heavy Duty Truck Fleet Technician. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of heavy duty trucks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including electrical systems and advanced skilled level repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure quality of repair work and customer satisfaction
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred

  • All scheduled maintenance, no on-call work
  • Typical schedule: 4-day work week, 10-hour days

  • Sign-on bonus: $1250 paid after 30 days and $1250 paid after 90 days
