Nursing Supervisor Job Description

Solaris HealthCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our nursing department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care for our residents.

Job Summary:

The RN Supervisor with Administrative Duties will assist in managing the nursing department throughout the building for the weekend. This role will conduct the nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation - under the scope of the State's Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate resource utilization, timely and appropriate care interventions, and interdisciplinary communication to enhance resident and family satisfaction, adherence to center's clinical systems, and regulatory compliance for the center.
  • Collect, trend, analyze, and report data, and manage the nursing department in the absence of the DON/ADON.
  • Collaborate with the medical staff, nursing service, and other department directors to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and implement effective nursing care plans that meet the unique needs of our residents.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements:
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in this state; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Must have and maintain CPR certification.
  • Two years' experience as a RN with 1 year nursing supervisory experience preferred.
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and exposure to disagreeable conditions, including odor and infection. The successful candidate will be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within Solaris HealthCare.
