Job Summary and Qualifications
The Surgical Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN acts as an advocate for patients, ensuring an exceptional patient experience.


Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Execute procedures or functions as directed by the medical provider.
- Accurately document care provided in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
- Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment utilized in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Qualifications:


- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Registered Nurse Diploma.
