Aerospace Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Medicine Physician to join our team at Decypher. As a Flight Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing medical care to US and FMS members and their families assigned to the Flight Medicine Clinic, Occupational Health Clinic, or other civilian Flight Medicine physician positions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care and occupational health clinician duties, including continuing, comprehensive health maintenance and provision of medical care, including preventive medicine, behavioral health, occupational health, and community health.
- Examine patients, formulate differential diagnostic plans, order appropriate diagnostic testing, interpret examination findings and test results, and implement treatment plans.
- Determine the need for consultation and assist in medical care and treatment provided at the direction of other specialists.
- Approve/disapprove subspecialty referrals, direct case management activities, and answer patient telephone consults with the assistance of clinic staff.
- Provide primary and secondary preventive maintenance care, including examination of patients, formulation of differential diagnostic plans, ordering of appropriate diagnostic testing, interpretation of examination findings and test results, and implementation of treatment plans.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree, with completion of clinical internship and residency.
- Current board certification in Aerospace Medicine is highly recommended.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the last 10 years as a privileged flight surgeon at a US Military installation, with experience in U.S. military medical standards, aeromedical disposition, and conducting adaptability rating assessments.
- Ability to locate, interpret, and apply current regulations, and to prepare records and reports as required in support of services rendered.
