Position Overview

The Enterprise Information Services division manages Aerospace's classified and unclassified enterprise IT infrastructure. In the role of Windows Endpoint Systems Administrator (Application Administrator Specialist II/IV), you will be responsible for overseeing Windows systems patching, application packaging, and configuration deployment to systems that support critical business operations. You will collaborate with technical teams to mitigate vulnerabilities, enhance security, and uphold a minimum system state across the fleet of endpoints. As part of the Device Management Engineering team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of endpoint security tools for The Aerospace Corporation.

Work Model

This is a full-time position requiring 100% onsite work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, package, and deploy applications utilizing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
  • Develop and modify scripts or applications to automate tasks
  • Manage and implement software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes on workstations
  • Create automated solutions to address desktop vulnerabilities using modern endpoint management tools
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reporting
  • Collaborate with engineers, operations teams, and clients to remediate endpoint vulnerabilities
  • Handle incident response resolution and reporting (zero-day patching)
  • Conduct fault-finding, analysis, and documentation for performance exceptions
  • Proactively monitor system performance and engage in capacity planning
  • Provide insights on enhancing the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
  • Work with other teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
  • Serve as an escalation point for desktop support in incident management

Qualifications for Success

Minimum requirements for Applications Administrator Specialist III:

  • Six years of relevant experience with MECM
  • Proficiency in administering endpoint management programs, including software application updates and system configuration
  • Experience in developing custom software package configurations and supporting scripts
  • Familiarity with MECM/SCCM patching and endpoint patch management
  • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux maintenance, security configuration, administration, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, issued by the US government; U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance
  • This position will necessitate a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Applications Administrator Specialist IV include:

  • Ten years of relevant experience with MECM

Distinguishing Factors

It would be advantageous if you possess one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Information Security
  • Experience with automation and orchestration using tools such as MECM, PowerShell, or Ansible
  • Experience in identifying and developing automated solutions to enhance efficiency
  • Experience administering Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune with co-management, Microsoft BitLocker
  • Experience with Mac MDM patching and endpoint patch management
  • Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
