Cleveland Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our surgery department. As a Surgical Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nursing practices, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This position requires a graduate from an accredited nursing school with a current state RN license, BLS certification, and preferably an ACLS certification. We value candidates who are committed to excellence in healthcare and have a passion for providing world-class patient care.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and support caregivers to ensure seamless care delivery. Your expertise in scrub and circulating functions will be invaluable in preparing the OR, surgical instruments, and equipment for use. With your background in operating room environments, you will excel in this fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures
  • Perform scrub and circulating functions

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of RN experience or completion of Cleveland Clinic's Perioperative Residency Program
