Job Summary and Qualifications
In the Emergency Room, nurses encounter a wide range of cases, from heart attacks to strokes, gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, and fractures.

ER nurses are trained to swiftly assess patients based on immediate observations and acute assessment skills, prioritizing treatment based on life-threatening conditions.


About this unit:
The collaboration within our 23-bed department is exceptional.

Our shared governance council in the Emergency Department and the involvement of our staff in hospital-wide shared governance empower our nurses to influence the decisions made in the department and the hospital overall.

As an accredited chest pain center, comprehensive stroke center, and level one trauma center, we handle some of the most complex cases, providing an incredible learning environment for every nurse.


What qualifications you will need:


- Registered Nurse
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses, or Trauma Nursing Core Course, or TNCC Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
