Job Description

Buddy's Home Furnishings is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager Collections to join our team. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, professional, and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire and maintain customers through effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Act as a customer liaison to resell the benefits of timely rental/lease agreement renewal payments.
  • Assist in managing store personnel, including directing activities of one or more employees.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes.
  • Decipher, prepare, and review store reports to ensure accurate data.
  • Document all customer commitments to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and store collections are satisfied.
  • Fill out paperwork for submission to corporate support in a timely manner.
  • Follow monthly marketing plans and maintain internal quality control standards.
  • Manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments and resolutions.
  • Manage inventory and cash assets to maintain a high level of efficiency.
  • Prepare daily work schedules, delivery schedules, assign tasks, and enforce company policy.
  • All other duties deemed necessary for effective store management.
Requirements
  • Effective organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Established collection skills to ensure timely payments and resolutions.
  • Good communication skills to effectively interact with employees and customers.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Negotiate and resolve conflict in a professional manner.
  • Plan, organize, delegate, coordinate, and follow up various tasks and assignments.
  • Recognize and solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Must have proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements.
  • Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictate.
Physical Requirements
  • Position routinely requires lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise pounds.
  • Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching, and grabbing as required.
  • Must be able to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliance, and electronics.
  • Prolonged driving and standing.
  • Must be able to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions.

$16.00 Hourly
