Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled pianist to provide musical accompaniment for Sunday worship services at Luke Air Force Base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in playing the piano and experience in accompanying choirs and congregations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany Sunday worship services, including preludes, postludes, and congregational singing.
  • Rehearse and practice with the choir as scheduled by the CWS Chaplain.
  • Collaborate with the CWS Chaplain to select music for services.
  • Support special services, such as funerals and weddings, with musical accompaniment.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and attire during all services and rehearsals.
  • Ensure the choir area and facilities are returned to their original condition and securely locked after each use.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years' experience playing piano/keyboard with proficiency in accompaniment and sight-reading.
  • Two years' experience as a church accompanist.
  • Familiarity with contemporary and gospel worship styles.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with chapel staff and parishioners.
