Director Supply Chain Opportunity

The Provision People invites applications for the esteemed position of Director Supply Chain, a critical role that drives the company's success through strategic supply chain management.

This highly competitive opportunity comes with a remuneration package of $175,000 annually.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process, ensuring seamless coordination between procurement, logistics, and distribution teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
  2. Procurement and Supplier Management: Oversee sourcing, negotiation, and contract management with suppliers to guarantee optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
  3. Manage inbound and outbound logistics, encompassing carrier selection, route optimization, and transportation mode selection.
  4. Optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts and excess inventory, and implement efficient inventory control systems.
  5. Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  6. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as negotiating better deals with suppliers, optimizing transportation routes, and reducing inventory holding costs.
  8. Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, natural disasters, and geopolitical events.
  9. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in driving supply chain optimization and cost reduction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Experience in the defense industry is a plus.
