The University of Missouri School of Medicine & MU Health Care seeks a highly qualified Palliative Care Physician to join its faculty. As an Academic Palliative Care Physician, you will contribute to the mission of improving the health of Missourians while creating exemplary care environments for effective teaching of medical students and resident physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient consultative services to improve the quality of life of patients with serious illnesses.
- Collaborate with the Palliative Care team to identify patients who would benefit from advance care planning and ensure their wishes are respected.
- Participate in the education and training of medical students and resident physicians in palliative care.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly work in the field of palliative care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to promote palliative care services.
Requirements:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified MD or DO.
