Job Overview
The Continuous Improvement Practitioner at Cirrus Aircraft is pivotal in establishing and disseminating a Lean Roadmap across the organization. This role is essential in guiding team members through the Lean transformation journey, aiming to achieve corporate objectives that enhance value and improve the experience for our Owners and Customers.

Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will be tasked with identifying and executing continuous improvement initiatives by creating best practice tools, methodologies, and processes that minimize waste, encourage data-driven decision-making, and foster effective problem-solving.

In this capacity, the Continuous Improvement Practitioner will:

  • Coach and mentor team members and managers in leading, defining, and implementing continuous improvement strategies that align with key initiatives and drive performance enhancements.
  • Implement strategies to raise Lean awareness and enhance team members' knowledge and skills regarding Lean principles within operations.
  • Identify opportunities and spearhead Kaizen events to promote process improvements.
  • Develop and facilitate Lean training programs that incorporate real-world, business-specific scenarios, promoting sustainable improvement outcomes.
  • Conduct complex analyses to uncover process improvement opportunities, assess alternatives, and prioritize redesign efforts.
  • Create toolkits and processes to assist leaders in effective business management.
  • Operate independently and objectively while leading initiatives for process improvement, change management, and standardization of business practices.
  • Support teams in developing standard work procedures, training programs, and metrics to facilitate business and system changes.
  • Provide training on Continuous Improvement methodologies and lead problem-solving initiatives on critical projects aimed at enhancing service delivery in terms of safety, quality, productivity, and cost.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; or a combination of 4 years of experience and education in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in applying Lean principles and practices.
  • Certifications: Lean Practitioner or equivalent certification; Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Other Requirements: Proven leadership in Kaizen events, a successful track record in developing training and coaching employees in a continuous improvement setting, and strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills.

  • Knowledge of efficient processes to enhance productivity with a focus on continuous improvement.
