Position Overview

The Manufacturing Supervisor will play a pivotal role in supporting the research and development engineering team within ICU Medical's temperature management division. This position is integral to overseeing all engineering aspects related to product development and post-market activities. The individual in this role will be tasked with designing and developing electrical and electro-mechanical components for medical devices. Additionally, the Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for creating models, conducting engineering analyses, building prototypes, and performing engineering studies to validate design feasibility. Support for on-market activities and configuration management will also be essential, including assistance with engineering change orders, bill of materials, process instructions, schematic updates, and document releases. The Manufacturing Supervisor will collaborate closely with senior engineering staff to ensure effective execution of product development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Execute engineering tasks of intermediate complexity, which may involve medium to large components or systems, as well as processes related to significant projects.

· Provide electrical engineering expertise in testing both analog and digital circuits utilizing various laboratory equipment.

· Generate and manage design release documentation for design modifications in compliance with established protocols.

Carry out assignments independently with minimal supervision regarding expected outcomes. Prepare documentation associated with engineering initiatives.

· Assist in activities related to design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

Identify and resolve intermediate technical challenges as necessary, ensuring that technical work aligns with specified requirements. Adhere to and understand the requirements outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Contribute to the development of corrective actions and alternative solutions.

· Engage in special projects as assigned.

Required Knowledge & Skills

· Ability to evaluate a design concept and drive it to completion effectively.

· Proficient in using schematic capture and PCB layout tools to assist in generating design release packages and updating electrical schematics.

· Familiarity with creating and maintaining design information in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as SAP or Agile.

· Experience with Altium is preferred.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Project or Planner is advantageous.

· Capacity to identify technical risks and communicate issues to project or engineering management.

· Competence in critically reviewing and interpreting technical documentation.

· Intermediate problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Ability to manage personal workload to meet tasks assigned by management or senior engineers.

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

· Preferred degree in Electrical Engineering.

· A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

· This position is primarily sedentary.

· Operates within a professional office environment and routinely utilizes standard office equipment.

· Requires the use of laboratory equipment.

· On-site attendance is expected 2-3 days per week.

· Typically involves less than 5% travel.
