Job Summary

AutoZone is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading our store team and ensuring maximum productivity, training, and development of our AutoZoners. You will also be responsible for driving sales, controlling expenses, and remaining compliant with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel
  • Assume responsibility for the store operation and commercial department in the Store Manager's absence
  • Assist with management of the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure commercial accounts and stores are serviced and deliveries are made as promised
  • Delegate and ensure store merchandising tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling duties
  • Ensure all company policies and loss prevention procedures are followed
  • Utilize ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure AutoZoners are implementing safety practices
  • Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security control
  • Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards
  • Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures
  • Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures
  • Follow proper accident procedures
  • Provide feedback regarding AutoZoner performance to the Store Manager
  • Assist with monitoring and managing all activities related to Risk & Safety Management to maintain a safe work environment
  • Address customer concerns and resolve them with a goal of turning a complaint into a compliment
  • Process returns and effectively manage inventory
  • Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner
  • Motivate AutoZoners to provide excellent customer service, enhance productivity level, and market products to enhance sales and profits
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • ASE Certified preferred
  • Demonstrates high level of integrity
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Ability to drive customer service
