About the Role

Pacific Clinics is seeking a Family Partner I to join our team. As a Family Partner, you will work closely with families and caregivers to provide support and coaching on specific skill sets. You will also provide a parent perspective in various settings, promoting a shared understanding between individuals and groups.

Responsibilities
  • Provide peer support to parents and caregivers, utilizing your personal and professional life experience.
  • Assist parents and caregivers in understanding the agency and the process and procedures, including the Family Partner I role.
  • Participate in providing support services for parents/caregivers, such as family events and activities.
  • C coach families to make decisions and develop plans based on their needs.
  • Collaborate with Child and Family team (CFT) meetings to ensure parent and family members have access, voice, and choice within the process.
  • Identify community connections for internal teams.
  • Serve as a consultant and support shared understanding to ensure that family and providers understand each other's perspective and information.
  • Provide non-judgmental, culturally informed support to parents and caregivers.
  • Explore, identify, and work to (re)establish natural support systems as needed.
  • Model and coach effective coping techniques for parents and caregivers.
  • Provide a caregiver's perspective in agency service support structures.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of internal and external trainings about the parent perspective.
  • Utilize conflict resolution skills.
  • Participate in continuous learning process as it relates to engaging youth and families.
  • Maintain and manage schedule effectively to manage the needs of multiple families, meetings, external, and internal customers.
  • Produce and maintain accurate and timely documentation within agency standards.
  • Hold staff accountable to service delivery principles related to the family voice, choice, access, pace, and process.
  • Participate in service improvement and development efforts.
  • Participate in program and system meetings.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to articulate the experience and perspective of a parent/caregiver or relative of a child with complex needs involving mental health, child protective, or probation services.
  • 3 years as a parent or caregiver of a special needs child.
  • Therapeutic crisis intervention and Agency training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college education is preferred.
  • Speak, read, and/or write another language.
