Direct Support Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Goodwill of South Central Ohio. As a DSP, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team that partners with individuals with disabilities to help them lead the lives they envision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead activities designed to foster independence, personal growth, and social maturity.
  • Work in our Goodwill Services Center and may also work in an individual's home through our Homemaker Personal Care program.
  • Provide personal care and transportation for individuals as needed.
  • Follow each individual's service plan to ensure their needs and goals are met.

Requirements:

  • Dependability and compassion.
  • Ability to work with all types of people and handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
  • Pass a criminal background check and not appear on any government registries.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Driver's license and clean driving record.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $13.00.
  • Dental, health, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off.

Work Schedule:

8 hour shift, Monday to Friday, day shift.

Experience:

Prior experience with individuals with disabilities is preferred, but not required. We offer on-the-job training, including provider certification, CPR, and First Aid.
