Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our Real Estate team at DLA Piper. As a Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys in the preparation and review of real estate documents, as well as assisting with due diligence and transaction coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation and review of real estate documents, including title reports and closing documents
  • Conduct due diligence on real estate transactions, including reviewing title commitments and recorded documents
  • Develop and maintain closing checklists for real estate transactions
  • Prepare and coordinate the execution and delivery of documentation to other parties' counsel, lenders, and governmental agencies
  • Assist with the preparation of tax-related applications and work with clients to obtain required documentation
  • Prepare petitions for tax consolidations and/or divisions
  • Review and abstract leases
  • Manage data rooms and matter files

Requirements

  • 4-year degree and/or a Paralegal certificate
  • 5 years of Paralegal experience
  • Strong skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with legal software such as Relativity, LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar applications
