Job Summary

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of healthcare. Under the guidance of the Manager/In-Charge Technologist and Medical Director, you will perform a variety of technical procedures that require a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care and ensure the safety and well-being of patients during procedures.
  • Operate and maintain auxiliary equipment necessary for procedures, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Prepare and administer radionuclides and medications by the proper route and in the appropriate dosage, adhering to departmental protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluate image appearance and perform additional views as required, ensuring accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Process and evaluate computer-generated data, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans, promoting patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry)
  • 1-year nuclear medicine experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining medical imaging equipment
