**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Valet Attendant to join our team at the Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland. As a Valet Attendant, you will be responsible for providing a memorable first and last impression to our guests as they arrive and depart the hotel.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Greet all guests upon arrival and assist them with their luggage to their rooms promptly when checking in and upon checking out.
  • Hail taxicabs and answer questions from guests.
  • Provide guests with general hotel information and assist them with arranging transportation when necessary.
  • Remove trash, papers, cans, bottles, cups, etc. in the lobby area between housekeeping runs.
  • Provide guests with general questions and assistance when the Concierge is not available.
  • Be knowledgeable of the community and area in which the hotel is located to provide information on special events (sporting, theater, movies, entertainment, and restaurants) to guests.
  • Submit all lost and found articles accompanied by a report.
  • Function as a doorperson as needed.
  • Deliver faxes, messages, packages, flowers, wine, and other items to guests in their rooms.
  • Ensure that the 'white zone' is kept free and clear for guest arrival and in the case of an emergency.
  • Notify guests by telephone of delivery of automobiles, packages, or arrival of visitors.

**Requirements**

  • High School Diploma is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in customer service or similar role.
  • Basic writing skills, professional communication skills.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
