PRIMARY DUTIES
Patient Care. Conduct thorough medical histories for patients referred by various healthcare providers; perform comprehensive physical assessments; request laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations;
Management & Development. Formulate preliminary diagnoses for medical, surgical, and other conditions; collaborate with supervising physicians to devise treatment plans for optimal patient care; coordinate with other specialty medical teams; assist in data collection for research initiatives.
Patient Engagement.
Engage regularly with patients, their families, and various support services, including regulatory and insurance agencies. This interaction necessitates a display of empathy, understanding, problem-solving skills, education, information gathering, and counseling.
Documentation.Gather detailed and accurate patient histories, review medical records, conduct physical examinations, and document all relevant information to create a comprehensive medical status, diagnosis, and treatment plan for all assigned patients.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree:
Physician Assistant (Mandatory)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
M - Medium Work - Involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
RPA - Registered Physician Assistant - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant - National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
SALARY RANGE:
$95,000 - $150,000.00
This salary range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for qualified candidates. It may be adjusted in the future based on factors such as experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contractual agreements.
