Position Summary:

The Roofing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating field operations. This role requires constant communication with Project Managers to guarantee that projects are executed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend roofing practices, techniques, codes, and regulations.
  • Manage crew foremen and all commercial roofing field activities.
  • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets, while enforcing safety protocols on-site.
  • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to arrange material loading and deliveries.
  • Provide timely information to Foremen before the commencement of jobs.
  • Oversee scheduling, inventory control, and labor budget management.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure critical responsibilities are addressed first.
  • Interpret blueprints, construction specifications, and perform detailed take-offs as necessary.
  • Make prompt, rational decisions and handle job site emergencies due to unexpected challenges.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with Building Owners, Engineers, and general contracting superintendents during on-site meetings and visits.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Superintendent in a commercial roofing company.
  • Proficient knowledge of commercial roofing systems including single-ply, asphalt, cold applied, hot applied, and metal projects is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • OSHA Safety certification.
  • Spanish speaking ability is preferred.
