Dining Services Supervisor

Local Nursing Facility is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service/Dietary Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of the Dining Services department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect the Dietary Department daily to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Direct and supervise dietary functions and personnel.
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of palatable and appetizing meals for residents, employees, and visitors.
- Follow menus and special diet instructions prescribed by the attending physician.
- Communicate effectively with the Food Service Director and other food service staff.
- Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of experience in the healthcare field and/or related industry preferred.
- Prior food service experience in a long-term care setting, preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience, preferred.
- Ability to work well with peers in a congenial work environment.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and work beyond normal working hours as needed.
Compensation: Up to $19 per hour based on experience.
