Job Title: Development Manager, Full Frame Documentary Film Festival

Duke University is seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to join the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival team. As a key member of the festival's development team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program to support the festival and its year-round programming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to secure cash and in-kind support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government funders.
  • Build and sustain relationships with current, new, and potential grant-giving organizations, members, and individual donors.
  • Oversee the management of all membership programs, including individual donors and members, festival sponsors, and gift-in-kind supporters.
  • Track and report on fundraising activities, including annual giving, sponsorship program, membership administration, and prospect management.
  • Collaborate with the Festival Co-Director and Duke's Campus Grants Management Team to develop and submit grant proposals, as well as coordinate and create budgets for grant submissions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Three years of experience in fundraising, sales, and promotions, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Familiarity with and appreciation of Duke University, arts organizations, film festivals, documentary film, or higher education fundraising.
  • Experience with Access and SAP-based database tools.
