Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking compassionate and flexible Physician Assistants to join our Medicine Department. As a Physician Assistant, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of patient care, including taking initial patient histories, performing physical examinations, evaluating and diagnosing patients, developing and managing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting lab tests, counseling patients, and performing various medical procedures. You will also have the opportunity to confer with attending physicians, residents, and other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program, licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York State, current certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. A flexible schedule to cover days, nights, and weekends is required.
