We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Brooks Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our urgent care team, you will provide exceptional medical care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide total medical care to patients in an urgent care setting, following established medical standards, procedures, and practices in New York State.
- Work with insurance companies to obtain authorizations and ensure payment for services.
- Maintain current knowledge of Federal and New York State Regulations regarding scope of practice.
- Stay up-to-date on payor policies and Evaluation and Management Services Guidelines.
- Chart patient information accurately and maintain electronic medical records for continuity of care.
- Complete all required documentation within required timeframes.
- Serve as a professional role model for clinic staff and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- NYS License with current registration.
- National certification preferred.
- ACLS and ATLC course work required.
- At least one year of experience in an urgent care or emergency department setting.
We offer a competitive salary range of $70.00 per hour, determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
