Key Responsibilities:
The primary goal of the Kitchen Support Specialist is to assist the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams by ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming and engaging with guests and team members in a friendly and professional manner
- Efficiently operating the telephone system, answering calls promptly and courteously
- Maintaining guest privacy and confidentiality
- Safeguarding company assets and proprietary information
- Operating dishwashing equipment effectively and reporting any issues
- Adhering to proper food handling protocols
- Washing dishes, glassware, and utensils
- Assisting in food plating and presentation
- Transporting items between kitchen areas as needed
- Supporting the breakdown of banquet setups
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization of pantry and storage areas
- Cleaning kitchen surfaces, including countertops and floors
- Managing waste disposal and recycling efforts
- Maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures
- Upholding a professional appearance and demeanor
- Participating in safety and security training
- Completing additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Understanding of guest service principles and food service techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and banquet services
- Ability to operate industrial dishwashing equipment
- Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Composure in high-pressure situations with effective problem-solving skills
- Willingness to follow instructions and collaborate with team members
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent training
- At least one year of relevant experience in a similar role preferred
- Experience in luxury hospitality settings is a plus
Work Environment:
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and collaborative kitchen space
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands
- Flexible scheduling based on operational needs
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent movement throughout the kitchen and dining areas
