Key Responsibilities- Lead Security Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations at a Tier 2 or Tier 3 level, depending on your experience, to identify and contain security threats.
- Drive Containment and Remediation Efforts: Collaborate with technical teams and third-party vendors to resolve incidents efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain and Improve IR Plans: Develop and refine incident response plans to ensure seamless execution during security incidents.
- Contribute to Use Case Development: Work with the team to develop and prioritize use cases to enhance security detection and analysis.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve security processes and develop new detections to strengthen our response framework.
- Perform Complex Security Investigations: Analyze large data sets and unstructured data to identify trends and anomalies indicative of malicious activity.
- Assemble and Coordinate with Technical Teams: Collaborate with technical teams and third-party vendors to resolve incidents efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure Incident Recording and Tracking: Ensure that all incidents are recorded and tracked to meet audit and legal requirements.
- Strengthen the Response Framework: Function as a stakeholder to enhance the overall Response framework, inclusive of SOC and CSIRT.
- Serve as Escalation Point: Provide guidance for monitoring and response, particularly for the PCI environment.
- Cybersecurity Experience: 4-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a deep understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting.
- Operating System Knowledge: Deep understanding of server and workstation operating systems.
- Cloud Security Experience: Experience securing multi-cloud environments, FaaS, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent experience.
- Analysis and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze large data sets and unstructured data for identifying trends and anomalies indicative of malicious activity.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels across the organization.
