We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, perform technical medication dispensing functions in compliance with written policies and procedures.
- Perform a variety of clerical and mechanical medication support duties, including the servicing of automated dispensing cabinets, repackaging medications, label preparation activities, information system data entry assignments, stock maintenance functions, maintenance of computerized logs and records, and medication delivery to patient care units.
- Perform other routine departmental support activities approved by the Pharmacy Director.
- Under a pharmacist's supervision, enter prescription orders into hospital information systems and select medications for filling prescription orders as permitted under Washington State administrative code.
- Compound sterile medication admixtures after meeting approved experience and training requirements.
- Washington State Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
- National certification upon hire.
- Hospital setting Pharmacy Technician experience.
