We are seeking a skilled Superintendent with a background of 4-5 years as an Assistant Superintendent in commercial construction, particularly in ground-up K-12 projects. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of construction documentation and specifications, demonstrate effective leadership in project management, and ensure the timely and quality completion of projects. This position demands a proactive mindset, outstanding organizational capabilities, and the ability to collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other essential stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all construction activities on designated projects.
  2. Collaborate directly with the Project Manager to drive project success.
  3. Exhibit expert knowledge of project plans and specifications.
  4. Engage in the pre-construction phase, offering insights on feasibility and constructability.
  5. Conduct mandatory preconstruction meetings with subcontractors prior to project initiation.
  6. Ensure quality control is maintained throughout the construction process.
  7. Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  8. Regularly update the Project Schedule and prepare updates for subcontractor meetings.
  9. Develop and manage short-term construction timelines.
  10. Maintain accurate Daily Reports within project management software.
  11. Document project and subcontractor performance effectively.
  12. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of project materials.
  13. Facilitate weekly subcontractor meetings to discuss project status and challenges.
  14. Keep the construction trailer and job site organized and presentable.
  15. Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols to promote a secure work environment.
  16. Ensure completion of all punch list items and procedures.
  17. Provide training and guidance to Assistant Superintendents or other assigned personnel.
  18. Act as the primary liaison with the district and architect.
  19. Perform additional duties as required.

  • Strong communication skills for proactive subcontractor management.
  • Be a forward-thinking and solution-oriented professional.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with the General Superintendent and Project Management Team.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
