Host/Hostess

We are seeking a highly skilled and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team at The Common Man. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and seat guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Present menus and inform guests of special catches and soups.
- Treat all guests with a high level of service, ensuring their complete satisfaction.
- Manage the waiting list and run the floor plan board.
- Keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
- Provide accurate wait times to guests and take names on the waiting list.
- Clean and organize the host area, including menus and supplies.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries.
- Interact with guests throughout their dining experience to ensure a positive outcome.
- Fulfill to-go orders and maintain the restrooms throughout the shift.
- Sweep the foyer and front entrance area regularly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior restaurant experience a plus.
