About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Cytology Specialist to join our team at All Medical Personnel. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality diagnostic cytology services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of slides screened and hours worked.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors, pathologists, and colleagues to ensure optimal laboratory operation.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Cyto-processing technicians as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Support corporate objectives and adhere to quality assurance, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of recent experience in cytotechnology is required.
  • Cerner or EPIC experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • One of the following qualifications is required:
    • Bachelor's degree in cytotechnology from an accredited program.
    • Bachelor's degree in a biological science plus graduation from an accredited cytotechnology program.
    • American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Certification.
  • Demonstrate exceptional professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
