As a Certified Medical Assistant at Sentara, you will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, performing essential clinical and administrative tasks. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and preparing them for their appointments.
- Taking vital signs and ensuring accurate patient information.
- Conducting phlebotomy and assisting with laboratory procedures.

Required Qualifications:
- Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Medical Assistant (CMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is mandatory.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is essential.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare environment or as an EMT, Paramedic, or Corpsman is preferred.
- Experience in phlebotomy and familiarity with electronic medical records is advantageous.
