Clemson Child Development Center is actively looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Part-Time and Full-Time Teacher Assistants/Floaters. This role involves working across various classrooms to meet the daily needs of our center.

This position is ideal for those passionate about childcare or pursuing studies in early childhood education.

The Teacher Assistant Floater will collaborate with classroom educators to cultivate a safe and nurturing atmosphere that promotes children's social, emotional, physical, creative, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transition between different classrooms as per the center's daily requirements.

Qualifications:
  • At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare environment.
  • High School Diploma or an Associate Degree in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification (training provided if necessary).
  • Completion of 15 hours of Health and Safety Training or equivalent.
  • Registration on SC Endeavors and SC Endeavors Career Ladder.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and health screening.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 lbs, sit on the floor with children, and respond swiftly to children in distress.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development or Early Childhood Education.
