Test Development Engineer

The Analog Group Inc is seeking an experienced Test Development Engineer to join our team in a challenging role that involves designing and developing high-performance test solutions for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) applications.

As a key member of our Instrumentation Business Unit, you will be responsible for developing product test solutions for High Performance Analog / Mixed Signal integrated circuits, designing and developing multi-site, cost-effective test HW/SW solutions for characterization, qualification, and production wafer probe and final test.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop product test solutions for High Performance Analog / Mixed Signal integrated circuits, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
  • Design, develop, and debug multi-site, cost-effective test HW/SW solutions for characterization, qualification, and production wafer probe and final test, leveraging expertise in analog and digital circuits.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to define and develop test methodologies, test plans, test modes, SCAN, and IDDq test, ensuring alignment with product requirements.
  • Define test schematics and work with layout engineers to design Printed Circuit Boards for multi-site test HW, ensuring efficient and effective test solutions.
  • Debug test programs, correlate production test solutions to engineering bench measurements, and transfer production test solutions to offshore, high-volume manufacturing sites, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Engage and support local and offshore manufacturing to maintain production yield, high quality, and resolve product and test problems after production release, providing expert technical guidance.
  • Participate in New Product Development Teams and evaluate new test systems for future applications, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
  • Manage and maintain project schedules that align with product introduction and release dates, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline with 6+ years of experience involving analyzing and debugging analog and digital circuits, with a strong understanding of analog and digital devices.
  • Strong knowledge of analog/digital devices and C/C++/Visual Basic programming, plus scan test experience, with proficiency in schematic and layout tools such as Orcad, Cadence ALLEGRO.
  • Experience designing multi-site hardware and software solutions for Automated Test Equipment that minimize test cost and maximize test performance, with a focus on high-quality and reliability.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and statistical data analysis using Excel or other data tools, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Cadence tools and Unix operating system knowledge is a plus, with a strong ability to work in a team environment and provide expert technical guidance.
