Information Security Specialist

About the Role:
PeaceHealth is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Information Security Program, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining information security-related policies, procedures, and standards across PeaceHealth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in the design, engineering, and implementation of information security processes, policies, and procedures.
• Analyze data from various information security sources to identify potential threats and defend PeaceHealth against cyber threats.
• Develop and implement effective defensive techniques, policies, and procedures to protect PeaceHealth's information and information systems.
• Collaborate with the information security and technology teams to respond to and remediate identified vulnerabilities and gaps in security controls.
• Support the design and implementation of security response automation, integrating various information and information security tools to create fast, intelligent responses to common and/or critical cyber incidents.
• Effectively communicate technical issues and investigative findings to technical and non-technical audiences in written and verbal form.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, information security, cyber risk management, compliance, or a related field.
• Experience in information security and risk management.
• One or more relevant information security-related certifications preferred.
