Registered Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our inpatient team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a Registered Nurse on our unit, you will play a key role in patient care management, following our nursing practice model.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize patient needs and create, implement, and assess care plans to achieve outcomes.
- Observe patient indicators closely and support evidence-based changes with research and hands-on learning.
- Create a caring and safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Build relationships with boundaries in mind and focus on managing emotional and physical pain to promote healing and reduce suffering.
- Facilitate learning for all members of the healthcare team, including patients, families, and nursing staff, ensuring everyone is well-informed.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and the community to develop and execute an integrated plan of care.
- Use problem-solving strategies and utilize available resources to support patients, family, and staff as part of a systems thinking approach.
- Familiarity with nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
- Awareness of legal requirements and standards of certification and accreditation bodies, including the specifics of the hospital and respective department/unit.
- Good command of medical terminology, with a focus on healthcare promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention.
- Effective communication skills, along with social aptitude for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Possessing critical thinking and problem-solving skills is crucial.
- Capability to identify and report changes in patient conditions, develop, and modify patient care plans as required.
- Basic computer skills necessary for day-to-day assignments.
