Job Summary

Harvard Integrations LP is seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services by conducting inspections, audits, and tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Perform quality control and assurance inspections, checks, and tests of power control buildings, equipment centers, and enclosures at different stages of completion.
  • Non-Conformity Reporting: Record observed non-conformities, defects, and discrepancies and ensure rework is completed satisfactorily before product moves on to the next step in the process.
  • Standard Compliance: Inspect products utilizing knowledge and familiarity of standards and codes such as National Electric Code, CSA, building codes, UL, NEMA, IEEE, SSPC, NACE, AWS, and CWB.
  • Documentation and Release: Provide appropriate paperwork to truck drivers and authorize release prior to product shipping.
  • Goal Setting and Achievement: Plan and accomplish goals set forth by the Quality Manager.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and assist with 2nd and 3rd party inspectors and customers during factory acceptance tests and inspections.
  • Continuous Improvement: Reduce production defects by driving continuous improvement of processes to ensure quality of products and services to meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Quality Metrics and Documentation: Utilize quality metrics to improve and document procedures while driving standardization.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others and keep materials and work area clean, organized, and free from clutter or any potential safety hazards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational school.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of related experience; ISO Certified Auditor (preferred).
  • Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software; experience working in industrial electrical field; experience with metal fabrication operations; knowledge of standards/codes as they apply to manufacturing; customer service background; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze situations and make decisions.
