The Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) is seeking a dedicated Part Time Veterinarian to join our Spay/Neuter Clinic team.

As a leading animal welfare organization, HAWS supports over 11,000 animals and welcomes more than 35,000 human visitors to our shelter. We provide a range of programs and services that promote responsible pet ownership, prevent animal abuse and neglect, and support our community.

We're expanding our team As a Veterinarian at HAWS, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, providing quality medical care to shelter animals, foster pets, and community animals. You will be responsible for performing spay and neuter surgeries, providing medical care, and working with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our animals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality spay and neuter surgeries for shelter, rescue, and community animals.
  • Provide medical care to individual shelter residents, foster pets, and community animals.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our animals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our shelter staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Requirements:

  • Valid State License by Veterinary Exam Board / Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and work on feet for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge and comfort in shelter/medical database.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
