Role Overview:
The primary objective of this position is to oversee the daily operations of the entire facility while ensuring adherence to legal mandates regarding environmental compliance and sustainability as dictated by local regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain daily operational parameters within the prescribed limits.
2. Escalate any deviations in results to superiors and ensure compliance with legal standards.
3. Serve as the communication liaison between management and regulatory bodies as per the Consolidated Consent Authorization (CCA).
4. Possess expertise in state and national environmental regulations applicable to the facility.
5. Ensure the operation of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Water Treatment Plant (WTP) within CCA limits.
6. Manage the facility's Environmental Compliance Program effectively.
7. Monitor compliance with Gujarat State & Central Pollution Control Board regulations, ensuring timely submission of relevant documentation.
8. Collect and analyze environmental metrics to establish objectives aimed at minimizing waste and pollution.
9. Maintain the Environmental Portal and ensure data entry aligns with legal and organizational guidelines.
10. Drive and coordinate environmental initiatives through training and educational programs to promote awareness.
11. Compile environmental statistics and prepare reports in accordance with organizational guidelines.
12. Analyze the root causes of environmental incidents and propose corrective action plans.
13. Ensure operations of ETP, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD), and Wastewater Recycling Plant (WRRP) comply with statutory requirements.
14. Support the Manager of EHS and Plant Management in implementing statutory obligations and Bunge's Global Safety Management System guidelines.
15. Act as a bridge between plant operations and legal authorities.
16. Manage shift operations and ensure compliance with legal obligations.
17. Address inspection findings in accordance with legal requirements and timelines.
18. Oversee the renewal and amendments of certifications as per organizational needs.
19. Solve environmental issues related to water and air pollution, as well as waste disposal.
20. Ensure adherence to safety norms and food safety standards.

Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree in Environmental Science or Engineering preferred.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in environmental compliance.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Proficient in computerized communication tools and portals.
- Ability to lead and develop systems for skill enhancement among team members.
- Knowledge of government compliance and environmental norms, including ETP/WTP/MEE Plant and GPCB regulations.
