Kinship Care Resource Navigator

Role Summary: This position is focused on delivering essential resource services to youth in foster care and their families within the Kinship CARES initiative. The Navigator plays a crucial role in assisting families and clients in accessing vital services aimed at improving their quality of life. This includes advocating for clients as they navigate various human service departments and agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Connect families with necessary services, including basic needs, mental health support, housing assistance, and food resources.
- Coordinate care across multiple service systems to ensure comprehensive support for families.
- Facilitate the Together Facing the Challenge group for families enrolled in the Kinship CARES program.
- Provide education and guidance to parents to foster trauma-informed parenting skills.
- Complete assigned administrative tasks efficiently.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in human services (such as psychology, social work, or family management) or a relevant combination of education and experience is required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance is mandatory.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary for training and recruitment activities.
- Bilingual candidates will receive an additional 6% compensation above the base salary.
Physical Demands: This role requires residential and community visits, and candidates must be able to:
- Travel to clients' residences and community locations, which may involve navigating walkways, stairs, and elevators.
- Lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
