Job Summary

The Director of Data Curation will oversee a team of data analysts, data coordinators, data scientists, and state compliance analysts working in collaboration with IT, Information and Analytics, and Data Governance to manage macro level data curation tasks, develop code books and methodology, and submit state and federal data informed by best practices in educational data management. This role will lead the EdFi transition in collaboration with IT and continue to support advanced project planning for continuation post-transition. The position requires a convergence of data and analytics skills, IT skills, and business expertise in both quantitative K-12 data reporting at the district, state, and federal level, including TSDS reporting, accountability, Student Information Systems, Human Resources Information Systems, and interim, formative, and summative assessment data.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of data analysts, data coordinators, data scientists, and state compliance analysts
  • Oversee macro level data curation tasks, including code book development and methodology
  • Lead the EdFi transition in collaboration with IT
  • Support advanced project planning for continuation post-transition
  • Collaborate with IT, Information and Analytics, and Data Governance to ensure best practices in educational data management
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably within a similar industry or organization
