With over 50 locations throughout the US, we provide a wide array of vehicle services, including repair and reconditioning, auction remarketing, and distribution center operations.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Auto Mechanic Technician to perform proper diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • A/C & Heater: Operate the system, recognize cooling or heating issues, perform basic system checks, and visually inspect condenser, belt tension, etc.
  • Brakes: Identify brake system components, visually inspect brakes, identify irregular noises and leaks, perform simple system tests, measure lining, drums, rotors, cams, road test for proper operation, and check fluid level.
  • Electrical Charging Systems: Visually inspect batteries, clean connections, check condition of belts, test batteries, check alternator mounting and pulley, replace and adjust belts, and perform basic charging system checks.
  • Cooling Systems: Check and adjust coolant levels, antifreeze requirements, visually inspect system for leaks, make minor repairs such as hose replacements, fan shrouds, fittings, pressure test, and flush and refill systems.
  • Electrical Cranking System: Inspect/test batteries, cables, and motor, clean battery cables, connections, and starter, check, charge, and replace batteries, repair/replace defective cables, and read wiring schematics.
  • Lighting System and Electrical Accessories: Repair minor wiring problems, replace bulbs, lenses, and simple light assemblies, adjust/replace sealed beams, and install/replace accessories (heated mirrors, fans, spotlights, etc.).
  • Drive Axles: Inspect housings for leaks, change oil and filter, and clean breathers.
  • Driveline: Lubricate drive line, inspect components for wear or damage.
  • Gas Engines: Check and adjust oil levels, identify unusual noises and oil leaks.
  • Fuel Systems: Replace and prime fuel filter, check gas and diesel fuel system components such as fuel lines, pickup tubes, return lines, etc.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
