Job Title: Field Service Technician

Unmannedpower LLC is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the inspection, test, and flight activities of our Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with techs, engineers, and pilots to support inspection, test, and flight activities
  • Work with customers and intermediaries to support flight and operational activities
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and find the root cause of acute and systemic problems, and fix the problem in the lab or in the field
  • Work on aircraft, payload, and ground station assemblies, subassemblies, and parts; including electronics, sensors, mechanical parts, antennas, and other UAS related components
  • Perform troubleshooting, soldering, assembly, fabrication, and repair from work instructions, drawings, schematics, rough sketches, verbal descriptions, and inherent knowledge
Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
  • US citizen, valid US passport, Valid US Drivers License
  • Ability to pass any and all background checks
  • Soldering experience with surface mount components by hand under a microscope, 5+ years
  • Experience building, modifying, troubleshooting, repairing, and assembling printed circuit boards
  • FAA Part 107 Certificate
  • Eye/hand coordination required for work with small parts and assemblies
  • Experience using electronic test equipment (Oscilloscope, Power supply, Multi-meter, etc.)
  • Experience building wire harness
  • Occasionally required to work with power tools to fabricate prototype components (Dremel, drillpress, belt sander, etc.)
  • Ability to recognize system and electronic components from typical design schematics
  • Minimum Associates degree in electronics or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to use a computer, Word, Excel, video conference programs
  • Root cause analysis experience, 3+ years
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • RC experience
  • FPV experience
