Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues on our fleet of vehicles, as well as providing preventative maintenance services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues, including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components
  • Assist customers with roadside services, including fueling, tire changes, and other vehicle-related issues
  • Provide preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks
  • Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night shifts as needed
  • Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation
