Structural Steel Painting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Steel Painting Specialist to join our team at Stone Bridge Iron & Steel. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our steel products.

About the Job

• Spray protective or decorative coatings onto steel surfaces using specialized equipment and techniques.
• Read and interpret paint specifications to ensure accurate application.
• Operate a wheelabrator to clean grease, dirt, and rust from products.
• Apply masking tape to protect areas that do not require coating.
• Handle and store flammable liquids safely.
• Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure even coverage and compliance with industry standards.

About You

• 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably with a background in painting or coating.
• Excellent reading and comprehension skills, with the ability to understand complex instructions and technical documents.
• Basic understanding of blueprints and mathematical concepts, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
